John T. Lander 1965-2012 HAMPDEN-John T. Lander, 46, died Thursday in a motorcycle accident in Wilbraham. He was born in Springfield and lived there most of his life before moving to Hampden in 2002. John worked as a crane operator for Titan Roofing. He served in the Navy where he received several service medals, and was a member of American Legion Post 420. He leaves his wife Laura (Gibeau) Lander, a daughter Samantha Lander Brown of Nebraska, his parents Joseph and Geraldine (Bruso) Lander of West Springfield, a brother Joseph Lander and his wife Ann of Burlington, VT, a sister Linda Walter of Springfield, several nieces and nephews and countless more friends and loved ones. The funeral will be held Thursday at 12:30 pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial with Military Honors at the Mass Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
