Obituary

Officer Aaron McNab, 30, passed away in a tragic accident in Vermont on August 2, 2019. Aaron loved many things but most of all he loved people. He connected with many people in all walks of life; Aaron could literally talk to anyone. He attended West Springfield High School, class of 2007. He furthered his education receiving his Bachelor's and Master's in Science at American International College. Aaron was the ultimate team player in everything he was a part of. An accomplished athlete, the epitome of a leader taking on the role of captain for all of his high school teams including football, basketball, and lacrosse. He was an All-American athlete in both high school and college for lacrosse. Aaron's true passion was helping others. He began his career as a corrections officer at Willard Cybulski Correctional Institute in Enfield Connecticut. Aaron was beyond honored to be a part of the Springfield Police Force, it was his biggest accomplishment and he was incredibly proud. He was beaming with joy over the life he created with his girlfriend Julia Clayton by his side. His brand-new house that they made into a home together here in Springfield MA, was Aaron's pride and joy. In addition to his girlfriend Julia Clayton and puppy child, Abby, Aaron leaves behind his loving parents Tamara and David Dallasta  who are so proud of the man he's become and astounded by the people who have come forward to show love to their family and to honor their son, his sister Marissa McNab, brothers Ryan Dallasta and Brennan Dallasta, his loving grandmother Deborah (Grams) Twining, his grandfather Steven Glamuzina (Grandpa Steve), his aunt and uncle, Sarah and Phil Palazzo, and their children Garret, Gavin, and Halle, his uncle, Matthew Twining and his daughter Grace, grandfather James and Karen Camidge and aunt Theresa Camidge and their families. Also, it is so important to note that he considered his friends his family and loved each of them so much.  He is predeceased by "Grandpa Gary" McNab and dear friends Chelsea Smith, Tyler Page, Brandon Thibault, and Matthew Fiala.  People naturally gravitated towards Aaron and his infectious personality, and he will be greatly missed by the people he loved, his family, and his close friends.  The funeral service will be held Thursday at 12 noon in Grace Lutheran Church. Please meet directly at church.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. For more details please visit curranjones.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to "364 Gives", a Springfield Police organization that focus's on making positive impacts on the lives of children, and public safety initiatives through the money they raised, something Aaron was incredibly passionate about.
