Aida Lourdes Martinez Serrano, 54, passed away after her battle with cancer on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at her home in Chicopee, MA. She was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on March 27, 1961 to José A. Martinez Davila and Ana Torres. She is survived by her parents, siblings José, Carmen and Milagros Martinez, her husband William Serrano, and only son Anthony and daughter-in-law Talyn. Aida worked at New England Farm Workers Council and was particularly known for her positive outlook and vibrant energy. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday at 10:30 with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church, Springfield at 11:30 followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
