Albert Van Belle, 91, died Monday in Holyoke Medical Center. He was born in France. Albert was loved by his family and friends. He enjoyed taking care of his house and garden and socializing with family and friends. He loved to cook and bake and was known globally for his tasty Madeleines that generated countless smiles, which he enjoyed immensely. He was predeceased by his wife Mathilde. He leaves his children Jackie, Martine and Philippe, siblings Odette, Paula, Pierre and Henriette and his four grandchildren Nicole, Brittany, Owen and Samantha. The funeral home service will be Friday at 11 am at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 10 to 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer or Arthritis Society.
