Obituary

Albert F. Lepore, 98, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024.  Born in Agawam, son of the late Dominic and Jennie (Tribuna) Lepore, he was a lifelong resident of Agawam.  Albert worked as a stock chaser for Hamilton Standard.  He was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran, and proudly served on many war vessels, including the U.S.S. General R. L. How, protecting our coast lines.  Al was a devoted fan of the Red Sox and the Patriots.  He loved playing cards and bingo.  He played football at Agawam High School and played in the amateur softball league.  He was predeceased by his wife, Carmella (Buoniconti) Lepore, a son, Albert F. Lepore, Jr., a daughter, Linda M. Wilson and a sister, Edna M. Lepore.  He leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Lepore of Holyoke, a brother and his wife, Dominick and Jan Lepore, Jr. of Greenfield, a grandson, Thomas Lepore, two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  A much appreciated gratitude to the Holyoke Veteran's Home for all the care and love that they give every day.  Thank you for everything you have done for Al.  A graveside service will be Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 1:30pm at St. Thomas Cemetery, Mater Dolorosa section, in West Springfield along with his wife Carmella Lepore.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Veteran's Home, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
