AGAWAM, MA-Albert B. Sinico, 92, died Friday morning in a local nursing home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Springfield, son of the late Victor and Louise Sinico and lived in West Springfield, before moving to Florida in 1985 He was a retired printer for Graphic Printing, retiring in 1985 after 30 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and was an avid golfer and bowler. Albert belonged to the Deadline Gang, Dante Club, UNICO, K of C, the Typographers Union and the Elks, all of West Springfield. He also belonged to the American Legion Post 92 and the Moose Club, both of Hollywood, FL. He moved back to the West Springfield Area in 2013 to be closer to his family. Albert taught an art class "Coloring and Conversations with Al" at Quail Run Estates in Agawam where he has resided for the past 4 years. He was very proud of his military service and the strong knit neighborhood he grew up in. He leaves his four children, Louise Sinico-MacDonald and her husband Scott of Springfield, William Sinico of West Springfield, Victor Sinico and his wife Lisa of Holyoke and Carol Ann Bliss and her husband Zenas of Ludlow; six grandchildren, Amanda Schirmer, and her husband Jacob, Carrie Hopkins and her husband Thomas, Christina and Joseph Sinico and Brooke and Alex Andruss, three great grandchildren, Heather, Ashley and Lila Hopkins. He is predeceased by his longtime companion Patricia Grantham of Cooper City, FL. He was also predeceased by his brother Joseph Sinico and sister Lee Demerski. The funeral will be Thursday at 9am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by Mass in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-7 pm. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
