1998 – 2019

Westfield – Alexis M. Avery, 20, of White Street died tragically Saturday at home. Alexis was born in Holyoke, daughter of Jessica (Vazquez) Bray and Christopher Avery, and has lived in Westfield her entire life.  She was a 2016 graduate of Westfield Vocational High School and was employed by Jarvis Surgical Inc. in their quality control department.  She was a cheerleader in High School and was known to be very artistic.  She leaves her 5-month old daughter Darla Iris Avery; her father Christopher Avery and his wife Sara; mother Jessica (Vazquez) Bray and her husband Daniel; sister Nevaeh Costa; Grandmothers Debbie Cater and her husband Rob, Maria Rosario; step grandmother Karen Avery; great grandmother Aida Vazquez; aunts and uncles Steve Avery, Missy DeVoie, Roger Rosario, Cindy Gonzalez, Stephanie Vazquez, Mayra Gonzalez, Norma Nunes-Vazquez, Angela Nunes-Vazquez, Sonia Vazquez and Edwin Vazquez; cousins Tyler Trompke, Brian Cayo Jr., Logan DeVoie, Julianna, Eddie, Alex, Daniel, Iliannna, Kari and Roger Vazquez Jr., Nick Agosto, Nehemiah Nunez-Vazquez. Katlyn Avery and her son Jaiden and many other loving family and friends.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday, January 24 th at 10:00am followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Y.W.C.A. to help other women in domestic violence situations.
