Obituary

Alfred R. Goyette, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Born in Agawam, he was one of nine children born to the late Melvin and Hermine (Crepeau) Goyette and was a 1946 graduate of Agawam High School. Alfred worked in the receiving and distribution area for Sears Roebuck & Company for thirty-nine and a half years before his retirement. He was an avid gardener taking great pride in his flower beds and loved his Boston Terriers. He was a navy veteran of World War II, a former Boy Scout Leader where he was very involved and a very active communicant of the former St. Theresa's Church where he was an usher and took care of the church grounds. He leaves a sister, Evelyn Narcovich of Attleboro and several nieces and nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The funeral will be Monday at 9am at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 8:30 – 9am.
