Andrew E. Denney, 37, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts, Andrew is the son of Janet (Coakley) Rodriguez Denney and the late Michael Denney. Andrew delighted in life and lived it on his own terms. A lifelong performer, Andrew loved singing, dancing, and sharing his gifts with the world. That love carried through to music, movies, books, and television shows, and he could always be counted on to share that passion. He loved all animals, especially his pet family. A lifelong "lamb," Andrew was a devoted Mariah Carey fan. Andrew was truly a powerful, unconditional loving force who brought people together and built community. He loved to spend time with friends, sharing good food and laughter with the many people who loved him. He is remembered by his friends from around the world for being someone who was always ready to laugh and who accepted them for who they were. He was a godfather and Titi to many children, where he made sure that they knew they were loved and that there was always a place for them in the world. He brought light into the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know him. His community is heartbroken at the loss. Andrew is survived by his partner Brenden Silbaugh, his mother Janet, his brother Jacob and sister-in-law Ursula, his aunts Cheryl, Doreen, and Patti, his uncles James, Jim, and Joe, his cousins Shawn, Christopher, Jason, Devon, and Beth-Ann. He is survived by too many friends and extended family to list. He is also survived by his pets Mimi, Nacho, T-Bone, and Monroe. Visiting hours will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM Friday, April 1, 2022 at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street. The funeral will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11am at Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Road, Springfield.
