Angela M. Parrelli

1919 – 2019

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Angela M. (Gallucci) Parrelli, 100, formerly of Burford Avenue passed on Sunday morning surrounded by her loving family.  Angela was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.   During World War II, she worked at the Springfield Armory, then when her family was young worked in the School Cafeteria for the West Springfield School System and later worked at the John Breck Shampoo Company. After retirement she became a foster grandparent for 25 years and was active as a volunteer for the Headstart Program.  She was a longtime communicant of the former St. Ann's Church.  Her husband Anthony A. Parrelli died in 1989.  She leaves two children Marriane Znoj and Anthony A. Parrelli Jr. and his wife Dianne all of Feeding Hills; four grandchildren, Jacob Znoj, Daniel (Josie) Znoj, Andrew (Marie) Parrelli and Brandon (Ana) Parrelli; five great grandchildren, Anthony, Braden, Ayala and Emme Parrelli and John J. Znoj and a devoted niece Joanne (Thomas) Caterina.  The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heritage Hall East for their caring and support given to Angela.  The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Saturday at 11:00am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held prior to the Funeral Home service Saturday from 10:00am – 11:00am.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or the charity of one's choice.
