West Springfield-Angeline M. Kozaira passed Friday in Springfield MA in the company of loving friends and caregivers. Mrs. Kozaira had just turned 100. She is the last of a generation of the Russo Family, who were long-time benefactors of St. Ann's Church in West Springfield. She married Mitchell Kozaira in 1951. She was widowed in 1962. Her long-time companion Donald Houle passed away in 2007. She worked at the Mayflower bakery, and then at Sears, Roebuck & Co., where she was a manager of the Springfield credit department. Mrs. Kozaira was an avid gardener, and she is fondly remembered for giving away fruits and vegetables from the Russo Family garden. Mrs. Kozaira's sisters Margaret Lafond and Terese Bailey, and brothers Patrick, Frederick and Albert, predeceased her. Mrs. Kozaira is survived by her nieces and nephews, long-time neighbors, and caregivers. A funeral home service will be held at West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12 noon followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery in West Springfield.
