Ann G. Patnaude Henry of First Avenue in Westfield passed away December 8, 2018.  She was born in Palmer on February 23, 1926 to the late Frank Patnaude and Elsie Sheldon Patnaude.  She was a resident of Springfield most of her life then lived in Chester before retiring in Westfield.  Ann completed her degree as a social worker at the age of 50 and while securing a position as a social worker in Northampton for the Department of Children and Families, she also began her own business, TRY (Today Reunites Yesterday) supporting those who have been adopted and searching for their birth family members.  Much about her TRY organizations work can still be found on the internet.  She was honored with an award from the National Federation for Open Adoption Education as being a pioneer in the field.   Ann was also an active foster parent to 126 foster children in her lifetime. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Henry of 56 years, by her daughter, Roxann J. Runzo and by her son, Jose Henry.  Ann leaves her 10 remaining children:  Terry Gunther of Liberty Hill, Texas; Ruthann R. Fuller of Westfield; Joann M. Martin of Blandford; Edward N. Henry of West Springfield; Kevin F. Henry of Westfield; Cherylann R. Henry of Indian Orchard; Terry Henry of Pittsfield; Thomas Henry of Chester; John Henry of El Paso, Texas; and Daniel Henry of El Paso, Texas.  Ann also leaves 16 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great Great Grandchildren.  A Prayer service will be held at the Curran Jones Funeral Home on 109 Main Street, West Springfield, MA on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm. Calling hours will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.  The burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
