West Springfield – Ann M. (Remillard) Laboranti, 78 died Tuesday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born in Worcester, grew up in Auburn and has lived in West Springfield most of her life. She worked for the Town of West Springfield in the Accounting office and at the West Springfield High School. She also worked for the Electric Company as a customer service representative for many years before her retirement. She was predeceased by her first husband Charlie Kimball (1981), her husband Albert Laboranti (2020) and a granddaughter Shauna Larkin (2002). She leaves her children Stephen Kimball (wife Sue), Kristine Trudeau (husband Michael), and Karen Larkin (husband Shaun). Ann also leaves her brother Richard Remillard. She remained close to Al's family including Chris Laboranti (wife Ally), Albert Laboranti (wife Amy) and Regina Laboranti. She has other in-laws including Teddy and Ernie Pugliano and Angie Latour. The light of her life was enjoying time with her family and friends. She leaves ten grandchildren; Justin, Jocelyn, Shelley, and Tyler Kimball, Danielle and Gabrielle Trudeau, Jamie and Christopher Larkin, Joe, and Sofia Laboranti; five great grandchildren; Brenden, Austin, Hailey, Myles, and Wyatt. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Ann enjoyed many years of travel with her husband Al to Italy, Aruba, and winters in Florida. The favorite part of many of her days was spent outside talking to neighbors and playing cards with her friend Anna. All her friends played an important part of her last few weeks at home with their many visits and laughter. A special thank you to LGS Rehab in Longmeadow, Baystate Hospice and Ann Marie Ferraro with her company Pioneer Valley Homecare. You nurses treated Ann like they were family and showed tremendous care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to meet at Sacred Heart Church, Chestnut Street, Springfield for the Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday at 11:30am followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. There are no calling hours, and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
