Anna P. (Langone) Acosta, 92, died Saturday in Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was born and grew up in Springfield and lived many years in New York City before moving to Agawam in 1975. She was a long distance operator for Bell Telephone in New York and later worked for Buxton. Anna was a member of the Mount Carmel Society in Springfield and Enfield. She was predeceased by her husband Claude Acosta and son Anthony Acosta. She leaves a son Robert Acosta and his wife Jennifer of Howard beach, NY, two nephews and Godsons Frank Magagnoli and his wife JoAnne of Agawam and Anthony Langone and his wife Karen of Chicopee, her companion James Fernandez of Chicago, her dear friend Irene Aldrich and her husband Bill of Springfield and several grand nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 8 am from AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME followed by Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 9 am. Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
