FEEDING HILLS – Anthony R. Massaro, 87 of Briarcliff Drive died Friday, surrounded by his family in the Soldier's Home in Holyoke. Anthony was born in Brooklyn and has lived in Feeding Hills since 1969. He worked for the United States Post Office for over 20 years retiring in 1978 He served in the United States Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. Anthony was a communicant of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral and was a longtime member of A.H.E.P.A. He leaves his wife of 64 years Mary A. (Fotias) Massaro; a son Alan of Feeding Hills, a daughter Adriane Hill of Agawam; a brother Frank of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and two granddaughters Danielle McManus and Abbey Massaro. At the request of the family please meet at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral for the funeral ceremony, Tuesday at 10:00am. The burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Monday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Soldier's Home, 110 Cherry Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
