Anthony P. "Mono" Strycharz

1957 – 2023

Feeding Hills – Anthony P. "Mono" Strycharz, 66 died peacefully Sunday surrounded by his loving family.  Mono was born in Westfield, the son of the late Tony and Sophie (Karona) Strycharz.  He grew up in the "Shaker Heights" Neighborhood in Westfield before moving to Feeding Hills. After his graduation from Westfield High School in 1975, he joined his father and brothers running the Oak Ridge Golf Club, eventually taking over the Golf Club and running it with his sons.  His wife Patricia (Benson) Strycharz died in 2009.  He leaves his children Anthony, Nick, Samantha Strycharz and Ginny Bruso, and his brother Billy Strycharz and his wife Melanie.  Besides his wife and parents, Mono was predeceased by a brother George Strycharz.  The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 11:00am followed by burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.  Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01105.
