Hampden- April S. Ptaszkiewicz, 51, of Hampden, MA passed away suddenly Monday morning September 14, 2015 in Boston, MA. She was born June 29. 1964 in Suffield, CT. to Beatrice Compton and the Late Wayne (Hap) Post. She was predeceased by her brother Wayne Post. April is survived by her husband, Thomas Ptaszkiewicz Jr. of Hampden, two daughters, Robyn Caldwell of Wynantskill, NY and Nicole Caldwell of Hampden, MA, her mother Beatrice Compton and grandmother Charlotte Kemp both of West Springfield, her stepchildren, Michael and Karli Ptaszkiewicz of Hampden, MA and many aunt, uncles, cousins and dear friends. She spent her days as a Caretaker for the elderly and working in nursing homes throughout her life. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts and being outside with her chickens. She loved frequent motorcycle rides with her husband Tom, all throughout the area sightseeing and feeling the breeze, which she spent her last days doing. A memorial service will be held at the Agawam Congregational Church Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00am. The Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
