Arline J. Hennessey
1931 – 2015

SOUTH HADLEY – Arline J. (Gagne) Hennessey, 84, passed peacefully in Vermont on October 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Arline was born in Holyoke the daughter of the late Adelbert and Lillian (Sawyer) Gagne. She attended Immaculate Conception School and has been a resident of South Hadley for the past 50 years. She was a stay-at-home mom and loved family gatherings (where she made the BEST potato salad!) and holidays with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed puzzles and Bingo with friends. She was predeceased by her husband William Hennessey who passed in 2002 and two children, William Hennessey, and Denise Arbour. She leaves nine children, Dennis and his wife Linda, Lee-Anne Cormier and her husband Ronald, Janis Patruno and her husband Dennis, Ronald and his wife Cheryl, Donald, Ginger Cote and husband David, Shawn, David and his wife Diane, and her youngest son Kevin, a son-in-law Russell Arbour, and her brother Ronald Gagne. She also leaves 25 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley, Friday at 10:00am followed by burial in St. Jerome Cemetery.
