Arthur A. Theobald went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 18, 2025. Born in Boston, son of the late Lawrence and Emma (Hubbard) Theobald, and brother to the late Patty Aseltine, he lived in West Springfield for many years, moving to Agawam in 1996. Arthur was a former owner of a Service Master. He was an administrator in the South End Community Center, volunteered at the Open Pantry, Annie's Corner and the Springfield Rescue Mission. He organized the Walk for Hunger in Agawam. He attended Bethany Assembly of God and went on many mission trips to Latin America countries, then helped to set up a Celebrate Recovery Group and ran it for twelve years. He was also a Navy Seabee. He leaves his wife of twenty-eight years, Abigail R. (Holes) Theobald, a daughter, Cynthia Nolan of Northampton, three sons, Douglas Theobald of West Springfield, Kent Theobald of New York, Timothy Theobald of Maine, two sisters, Judie Theobald of Vermont, Rene Vandergrift of Agawam, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday, April 25, 2025 at 10am at Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main Street, Agawam. There will be a private burial in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME is in charge.
