Artimease Beatrice Little

August 22, 1930- December 15, 2022

Artimease Beatrice (Smith) Little, age 92 entered peacefully into Eternal Life on December 15, 2022 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow Massachusetts. Born in Vicksburg Mississippi to the late  Issac and Aurella Smith (Franklin), she is predeceased by her husband Otis B. Little, son Herman R. Little Sr., brother Benjamin Smith Sr., and a step sister Maggie Vernon (Smith). She will lovingly be remembered by her granddaughter Kacey Garvey (Little) who had the privilege of being her Caregiver and her husband Patrick, grandson Herman R. Little Jr., great- grandchildren Randy, Adryen, Gabriel, Matthew, Kaylee and former granddaughter in-law Maryellen Pedraza all of Springfield. She also leaves a sister, Delores T. Smith of Tennessee, brothers Charles E. Smith Sr. and Issac "Duke" Smith Jr., both of Mississippi. Artimease spent her formative years in Mississippi before moving to Springfield as a young woman where she married and raised her only child. She retired from Western New England University School of Law Housekeeping Services at the age of 70. She was an ever-present figure in her family's lives instilling in them the importance of good work ethic, helping others and living a faith driven life.  Artimease will forever be remembered by her family and all those who had the good fortune to know her. The family would like to thank the staff at the Jewish Nursing Home and Spectrum Hospice Care for their compassionate care of Artimease. A period of visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21 ^st from 11:30 – 1:00pm at the West Springfield Curran- Jones Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Dementia Society of America, or charity of one's choice.
