Austin R. Woodard Jr., 66, Agawam died Wednesday, September 30 at home. Austin was born and raised in Greenfield, the son of the late Austin R, Sr. and Marion (Blake) Woodard. He graduated from Westfield State College and has lived in Agawam since 1976. He served in the United States Air Force as a Parachute Rigger during the Vietnam War. He retired from the United States Bulk Mail Facility in Springfield and was an avid skier and fisherman. Austin leaves a son Jeffrey and his wife Leila of Mesa, AZ; his granddaughter Paige; his former wife Ann Woodard and a sister Diane McClure. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister Roberta Woodard in 1986. The funeral will be held at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 10:00am followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
