Her husband died in 2010. They had celebrated 58 years of marital bliss. She leaves her loving son, Glenn, along with her sister Mrs. Robert (Jean) Young and many nieces and nephews. Barbara served the community well, being president of the Junior Ramapogue Woman's Club, chairman for The March of Dimes, a Sunday school teacher at Mitteneague Congregational Church, as well as serving on other committees there. She was a member of Ramapogue Women's Club, the Blandford Club, Western Mass Women's Golfing League, Candy Shop Bowling League, NRA, and in 1999 she was voted a charter member of the West Springfield Pioneer Valley Sportsmans Club, an honor she prized highly. Barbara was an avid bridge player and also loved fishing at their cottage on South Pond in Sturbridge, MA. There are no calling hours. A private graveside service was held at Hillcrest Cemetery.
