Barbara H. Kerr

FEEDING HILLS-Barbara (Hart) Kerr, 88, passed peacefully Friday in Mercy Hospital. She was born in New Britain, CT the daughter of the late Leland and Mabel (Hosford) Hart and grew up in Plainville, CT graduating from Plainville High School. She lived in Feeding Hills most of her life and was an active member of the Agawam Congregational Church. She worked at Southworth Paper Company of West Springfield for 18 years retiring in 1997. She loved gardening, animals, reading, history and old houses. She leaves behind several family members and friends who she greatly loved and enjoyed "chinning" with. She was predeceased by her husband James Carlton Kerr in 1969 and her sister Faith Bennison. She will be deeply missed by her son Timothy J. Kerr and his wife Christine of Feeding Hills and her sisters-in-law Priscilla Forsman and her husband Ray and Gloria Kerr all of Feeding Hills. The memorial service will be Saturday at 11 am at the Agawam Congregational Church. Her burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Agawam Congregational Church. Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
