WEST SPRINGFIELD – Barbara J. (Godek) Reed, 67, lost her battle with brain cancer Friday surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield all her life, graduating from West Springfield High School. She worked for United Industrial Services in Agawam. She leaves three sons, Joseph Reed and friend Paulita, Michael Reed and his wife Nikki and David Reed and his wife Kate; a sister Carol Thibault and her husband Pierre and six grandchildren; Eric, Lindsay, Kasey, Mackenzie, Sydney and Jack. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Sunday at 4:30 pm. The burial in St. Thomas Cemetery will be private. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Baystate VNA and Hospice, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01199.
