Barbara “Bobbie” S. Sypek, 87, passed away July 28, 2026. She was born on June 28, 1939 to the late Andrew and Stella Sypek. A lifelong resident of West Springfield. She had an infectious smile, everyone who met her loved her, she grew up working on the family farm, Sypek’s Farm. She also worked most of her life as a laundry supervisor at the former Sheraton Hotel in West Springfield. Later she worked as a machine operator at Package Printing. Barbara enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, traveling and going to her Adult Day Care. Also to Auctions where she met some very special people to her. She also loved going with her grand fur babies to dock diving events. Barbara leaves her best friend and daughter, Susan Muncy and her husband Tom of W. Spfld and her three grand fur babies; Roxy, Chloe and Summer and some extended family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Frederick and Edward Sypek. A Funeral Home Service will be held TUES AUG 4th at 11 AM at the CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME, 109 MAIN ST., W. SPFLD. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery in W. Spfld.
