West Springfield – Beatrice A. (Patterson) Crosby, 89, found peace with the Lord, Saturday, September 23, 2018 in her home surrounded by the love of family.  Beatrice was born in Chicopee, April 6, 1929, to the late William and Charlotte (Smyth) Patterson.  She was a graduate of Chicopee High School and has been a resident of West Springfield since 1959.  She was a longtime member of the Mittineague Congregational Church and member of it's stewardship committee.  She also was a life member of the Ramapogue Women's Club and trustee of the West Springfield Boys & Girls Club. Above all "Bea" was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was married to the "Love of her life" Bernard Melvin Crosby on June 26, 1948, with whom she recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.  She leaves her two daughters Susan B. Winterle and her partner Roland Lemieux of Middleton, MA, Sandi Forni and her husband Ken of Agawam; four grandchildren and their spouses David Winterle and Carey Dawson, Matthew and Jessica Winterle, Jessica and Marc Iorio and Steven and Caroline Forni. She also leaves her six great grandchildren Charlotte, Samuel and James Winterle, Madeleine and Clara Iorio, and Luca Forni.  Bea was predeceased by a sister Eileen Schneeloch.   Visiting hours will be held at the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main Street Saturday, September 29, 2018 starting at 12:00 (Noon) followed by a memorial service which starts at 1:00pm.  A private burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Chicopee.  The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001 or to the West Springfield Parish Cupboard, 1023 Main Street West Springfield, MA 01089.
