Obituary

Bernard E. Tourangeau, 96, died June 30, 2019. He was the son of the late Edward and Esther (Regan) Tourangeau. He was preceded in death by his siblings Rita Wall, Edward "Buddy" Tourangeau and Jane Ann Henson-Kennedy. Bernie was a WWII Veteran in the Army Air Force as a Warrant Officer. He continued his American patriotism as a member of the American Legion Post #185 in Agawam and as an Elk for 52 years. Bernie worked for many years for the Springfield Newspaper, Peter Pan Bus Tours, Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and as ski instructor at Mt. Tom. His greatest love was for hockey, working closely with the Springfield Kings. He enjoyed his Indians, Thunderbirds and Falcons. Many great memories. He was also a lifelong Patriots fan. He leaves many nieces and nephews who loved him. His family would like to thank all who took care of him in his final months of life. A gathering to celebrate his life will be Tuesday July 9 th at 1:00 pm at the Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial with Military Honors at the Mass Veteran's Cemetery in Agawam.
