Bess (George) Wilson, age 97 of Springfield, MA, died on October 31, 2018. Bess was born in Springfield, daughter of the late Helen and Eugene George. She was educated in Springfield schools, graduating from the High School of Commerce and attended American International College. Bess had been employed as Program Director of the Hampden County Tuberculosis and Health Association for 25 years. Prior to that she worked at Westinghouse. Bess worshipped at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Springfield, as well as Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Holyoke.
She is predeceased by her husband, Elmo Wilson, her brothers Jil, Nicholas and Clayton, and sisters Anne Psilos and Claire Maniatty. Funeral services will be held at St. George Cathedral on Tuesday, November 13th at 10:30am, with viewing 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
