Betty J. Gouty
1932 – 2012

WEST SPRINGFIELD – Betty J. (Gaston) Gouty, 79, of Worcester Street died Wednesday at home surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Fort Collins, CO and has lived in West Springfield since 1985. She was a retired Certified Nurse's Assistant for the Holyoke Geriatric Authority. Her husband Floyd Gouty died in 1997 and a daughter Barbara Young died in 1970. She leaves two sons Mark Gouty and Scott Gouty and his wife Eve; two daughters Linda Kirk and Virginia Young; four brothers Charles Jr., David, Darrel and Gary Gaston; four sisters Bonnie Monson, Patricia Bird, Ella Mae Adams and Peggy Makenjose. She also leaves eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements. For online condolences please visit curranjones.com
