Obituary

Betty Ann Hackett, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 25, 2025.  Betty Ann was born February 13, 1936 in Springfield, MA and later became a resident of Port Trevorton, PA for forty-four years prior to her recent move back to Feeding Hills, MA where she enjoyed a well-deserved chance to fully embrace her rightful place as "Queen Mother." Betty Ann lived a life filled with warmth, laughter and playful teasing that brought joy to everyone around her.  She was predeceased by her parents, Almon and Miriam (Whyte) Carpenter, her husband, John "Jack" Hackett, two brothers, Robert Carpenter and Donald Carpenter and his wife Madeleine, and a son-in-law, Thomas Longtin. She leaves behind her beloved family, her son, John "Golden Boy" Hackett and his wife Darla of Broken Arrow, OK, three daughters, Lou Ann Share of Sellinsgrove, PA, Susan Longtin of Feeding Hills, Paula Craine and her husband Steven of Rockledge, FL, her brother, Theodore Carpenter of Cape Coral, FL, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be Saturday at 11am at the Agawam Curran Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper Street. The burial is private. In lieu of flowers, St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
