Obituary

Beulah B. (Hardy) Hersey Richardson, 91, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Ipswich, daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Lawton) Hardy, she was raised in Rowley, MA and attended Newburyport High School. Beulah worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for fifty-eight years at many nursing homes, retiring at the age of 78. She enjoyed playing BINGO, going to the casino, crocheting, and made many dolls and blankets over the years and loved giving them to her friends and family. Beulah loved baking and at least twice a week she baked and gave her treats to her family and friends. Dominoes was her favorite game. She played every night if she could get a four some. She loved to read. Her favorite Christmas gift each year was from her grandchildren, which was all the subscriptions to her favorite magazines, the Globe, Enquirer, US, People and the Star to name a few. She was a member of St. David's Episcopal Church where she worked in the office every Friday. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell L. Richardson in 1999, and her siblings, Margaret Jones in 2004, Hattie Mae Rowell in 1987, Edward B. Hardy in 1990, Elwood Hardy in 2003, Charles W. Hardy in 1979, Constance A. Wilmot in 1983, Robert G. Hardy in 1973 and a step-son, Dwayne Richardson. She leaves two sons, Harry E. Hersey and his wife Elaine of Belmont, NH, Brian L. Hersey and his wife Joyce of Feeding Hills, a daughter, Ellen M. Rendrick and her husband Robert of Feeding Hills, a sister, Patricia Courage of Ipswich, her stepchildren, Darlene Delosantos of PA, Debbie Como of NY, David Richardson of NY, her grandchildren, Krystin Albert, Derek Hersey, Jaime Bouchard, Jennifer Barna, Heidi Klinakis, Cyrstal Colson, Brian Hersey, Jr., Alex Hersey, many great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. The funeral will be Saturday at 2pm St. David's Episcopal Church, 699 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills. The burial will be on Monday at 2pm at Rowley Cemetery in Rowley, MA.
