Beverley Ann Briggs

1934 – 2017

Feeding Hills – Beverley Ann (Philbrick) Briggs, 83, formerly of Parkview Drive, died Tuesday at Baystate Noble Hospital. Bev was born in Springfield, graduated from Cathedral HS in 1951, and worked at Kresge's and Liberty Mutual. In 1960, she married William A. Briggs Jr. of West Springfield and they moved to Feeding Hills to raise their family. A communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills, she was a longtime member of the Choir. Her husband William ("Billy") died in 2012. She leaves four children: Linda, Debbie, Michael and his husband Tom Goss, and Tom and his wife Beth. She also leaves four grandchildren: Marlowe and Cace Briggs, and Alyssa and Sean Meade. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 9am with Liturgy in Sacred Heart Church at 10am, followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, Feeding Hills MA 01030, or Thomas J.
