Obituary

West Springfield-Beverly T. (Howe) Murray passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Nov. 9 after a year long battle with leukemia. Beverly was born in Springfield on Aug. 28, 1942 to William and Marion Howe. She was raised on Springfield St. in Chicopee with her sisters Shirley and Jean and graduated from Holy Family High School class of 1960. She went on to meet her partner for life, William, at Mass Mutual and together they traveled life's road together. Bill predeceased Bev in February of '13 and she was truly lost without him. Bev worked for many years at Carter Paper Co. in West Spfld. where she always enjoyed her coworkers. Bev leaves behind her three children; Krista of Port St. Lucie FL, Sean and his wife Susan of Scituate, MA and Erin and her husband Remik of Granby, CT. She also leaves the lights of her life in her five grandchildren; Kara, Meaghan, Owen, Hayden and Tynan. She also leaves behind her sister Jean Stoddard and her husband David of Somers, Ct. her sister in law and brother in law Lynn and Bob Kleindienst, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who have taken great care of her in recent years. Bev was predeceased by her love Bill, her daughter Leslie and her sister Shirley, as well as her parents. Bev was an active member and Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Church in Spfld and her strong faith has carried her through this most difficult last year. She and Bill loved their church and felt as though it was a part of their family. Bev was also fortunate to have the strong support of her neighbors on Robinson Rd. and the staff at the D'Amour Cancer Center to ease her journey. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 11 am in Sacred Heart Church, Springfield. Calling hours at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home will be Thursday 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sacred Heart Building Fund in Spfld. or the D'Amour Center for Cancer Care also in Spfld. For more information please go to curranjones.com.
