Beverly J. Protzenko, 82, died June 22, 2016. She was a devote Catholic who was a member of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. She taught CCD for many years and received the Pope Pius X Medal for her service. She also volunteered for the Take and Eat Program. Most of all she was a loving mother who was an excellent baker. She showered family and friends with delectable goodies. She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years Harry H. Protzenko, a daughter Colette Sparks, daughter Traci Protzenko and husband Guy Silvester. She was predeceased by her loving son, Paul H. Protzenko who was killed in Afghanistan and son-in-law Edward Sparks. She also leaves a sister Gwendolyn Sherwin and husband Jim of Northboro, MA. The funeral will be Monday June 27th at 9 am from Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 745 Cooper St., Agawam followed by Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St., Agawam at 10 am.
