Blanche I. (Girard) Soden of Agawam passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield MA. Blanche was born on January 17, 1922, grew up in East Longmeadow, resided in Agawam most of her adult life. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Rose-Anna Girard. Blanche was the beloved wife of the late Donald Soden. Blanche devoted mother to her son, Ronald and daughter-in-law, Deborah of Agawam. She also leaves Thomas O'Callaghan, grandson and Aaron, great grandson, Jeremiah O'Callaghan, grandson, his wife, Colleen, and Matthew, great grandson, and Christian O'Callaghan-Leue, granddaughter, and her husband, David. She also leaves a niece Rachael Galipeau of Quinebaug, CT. She worked as a waitress at Jaycox Restaurant, Springfield, and Old Storrowton Tavern, West Springfield. Blanche was passionate about bowling, bingo and the Red Sox. The burial will be private at the family's convenience. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity.
