Brenda J. (Brown) Lewis-Hrycay, 84, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2026 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, daughter of the late George and Bertha (Wyant) Brown, she grew up in West Springfield and worked for the former Moore Drop Forge in blueprinting. Brenda also worked as a home health care worker, did accounting for Long View Fibre, worked for Badger Construction for fifteen years, and at Bank of New England where she was a member of their women’s club. She also enjoyed and raised horses and was a member of the Riders and Drivers Club. She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Walsh. She leaves her husband, David J. Hrycay, a son Charles W. Lewis of West Springfield, a daughter, Kathleen Jo Lewis of Putney, VT several and nieces and nephews. A Calling Hour will be held WED OCT 21st at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1900 Allen St., Spfld from 9AM until 10 AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 AM. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
