Brian J. MacDonald, 69, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 2, 2026.  Born in Springfield, son of the late Donald and Veronica (Zygaj) MacDonald, he was a lifelong resident of West Springfield and a 1974 graduate of West Springfield High School.  Brian worked as a shipper for over thirty years at Holyoke Card and Paper.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.  He leaves a brother and his wife, Keith A. and Catherine MacDonald, a sister, Karen A. MacDonald, all of Chicopee, two nieces, Sarah Hall, Jill Miles and two great-nephews and two great-nieces.  Relatives and friends are invited to meet on Friday, January 9, 2026 for a 10am Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street, followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, both in West Springfield.
