Brian R.
Malone
December 7, 1979 – August 7, 2020
Brian Regin Malone, 40, beloved husband of Dawn Frazer-Malone passed away unexpectedly on Friday 7 August at Baystate Medical Center.
Born in Holyoke, MA he grew up in the local area. An excellent swimmer in his youth, he was a 1990 Champion of the Pioneer Valley Swimming League. He worked as a laborer in the landscaping industry and most recently as a personal care attendant. He took great pride in caring for those who needed help and he had a gift of lifting people's spirits while tending to their needs; a gift undoubtedly inherited from his loving father, and inspirited by his dedicated wife. What Brian enjoyed most was spending time with his family: fishing trips with his dad, dinners and Cribbage games with his dad, Sally, father & mother in law, playing and watching sports with his nephews and brother in law, building 'Minecraft' worlds and watching movies with his niece, gardening and helping out his neighbors and family.
A gentle soul who always put others first, he is deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his soul mate and true love, his wife Dawn Frazer-Malone and their fur baby Bertha of Springfield, MA. He also leaves behind his devoted dad, William "Bill" Malone and his wife, Sally of Chicopee.
Brian will be missed by his mother in-law, JoAnne Dittbenner and her fur baby Coco, Uncle Brian Gore and his fur baby Noris all of whom he and his wife share a home with. He leaves behind his caring brother-in-law, Todd Frazer and his wife Tina, along with his cherished nephews Lukis and Donevin and niece Maeleigh all of West Springfield. Brian also leaves behind his loving siblings Kathy Malone of Westfield, Tami Ward of Chicopee, Darrell Malone of Jacksonville, FL, SallyAnne and Greg Pease and their children from Westfield, Nancy and David Cardinal and their children from Chicopee and Jennifer and Mark Podolak of West Springfield as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins that cared deeply for him. Brian was pre-deceased by his loving father in law, Donald Dittbenner, and his mother, Linda Hamilton.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at BSMC Cardiac ICU for their compassionate care.
Visiting hours will be Sunday, 16 August 2020 from 3-5pm immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the Curran-Jones Funeral Home, 109 Main Street, West Springfield, MA.
