Brian F. McKenzie, 70, of West Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25,2022 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield to Jeanette T. (Charest) McKenzie and the late Lyman J. "Mac" McKenzie (2008), but lived in West Springfield for most of his life. He was pre-deceased by his brother Robert C. McKenzie, who died in 2001. Besides his mother, Brian is survived by two children Katherine Bregoli and her husband Tom; Andrew J. McKenzie and his wife Emily and two grandchildren. He grew up in West Springfield and attended Immaculate Conception School. He graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield and St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH. He also attended Springfield College and the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, where he earned degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. He was a longtime parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church, but in recent years was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle. He worked for MassMutual early in his career, then for a number of years in Human Resources at Spaulding Sports in Chicopee. He later worked for Providence Behavioral Health in Holyoke as a Psychologist. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 31st at 10:00am in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St. West Springfield followed by burial in St. Thomas Cemetery.  For more details and online condolences please visit curranjones.com.
