Obituary

Brice Michael Flowers, our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away on August 24, 2018.  Brice is survived by his wife Laura, his three wonderful children Jack, Audree, and Tage; his siblings Shannon (Corey Benson), Kirk (Cambria), Chelsey (Brice Given), and Dan (Chelsea).  Brice also leaves behind many cherished friends who became part of his adopted family.  His parents Mike and Joan Flowers preceded him in death. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 12, 1971, Brice spent his early years playing every sport possible.  He was extremely competitive and excelled in anything athletic, always carrying a ball with him wherever he went.  Whatever the sport was, Brice would play until he was the best player competing. In high school he lettered in soccer and basketball and he went on to play soccer at Salt Lake Community College, going to the NIRSA National Championships. He continued to enjoy playing soccer with a great group of guys every Thursday until very recently. When not playing sports Brice enjoyed spending his time with friends, traveling, and eating.  He loved trying new things, as long as he had someone to try them with. Brice met Laura while both of them were working at Shriner's Hospital for Children in Salt Lake City.  When he met Laura, he met the perfect person who wanted to try everything with him.  From the time they met they quickly became best friends and were rarely apart thereafter. Married for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, they started their family and eventually moved to Massachusetts, which they now call home.  A child at heart, Brice spent much of his time raising and playing with their children.  His children were his world, and he loved watching them grow and excel.  Anyone who knew Brice also knew about his wife and children, as he loved to talk about them to anyone who would listen. Brice was a kind-hearted soul who made everyone feel welcome and loved.  Brice's superpower was a special ability to comfort those who needed comfort, to show others genuine concern and care, and to always put others first.  He will be intensely missed by his wife and three young children. Calling hours will be at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 584 West Street in Ludlow, MA on Saturday September 1, 2018 from 9am – 10:45am.  A funeral service will follow the calling hours at that same location at 11:00am.  Burial will take place immediately after the service at the West Street Cemetery in Granby, Massachusetts. Curran-O'Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the AYJ Fund at ayjfund.org or the Jimmy Fund, two charities related to Kids cancer research that were dear to Brice's heart.
