Obituary

Bruce F. Bachta, 64, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at home. Born in Ludlow, son of the late John and Louise (Spagnuolo) Bachta, he lived most of his life in Agawam and attended Agawam High School.  Bruce worked for 23 years as a mechanic on airplane engines and an expediter for Wood Group Pratt & Whitney.  He was an avid race car fan, a sponsor, and a pit crew worker. Bruce enjoyed riding his Harley and snowmobiling. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.  He leaves three sisters, Linda M. Cardaropoli, Jacqueline Radwilowicz, Jeri Ann Bachta all of Agawam, and his cat, Brady Boo. A niece Jessica Kavney, and nephews Brian Radwilowicz, Edward and Johnathan Bachta and Ryan Kavney. Bruce also leaves an uncle, several cousins and many friends. Friends who were like family Bob Gegetskas and family, Max Zachem and family. Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 10am at Sacred Heart Church, 1061 Springfield Street, with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery, both in Feeding Hills.  Calling hours are Monday at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street from 4pm to 6pm.
