HOLYOKE – Dr. Bruce M. Tait, 85, of West Madison Avenue died Tuesday June 30, 2015 in Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his family. Dr. Tait was born and raised in Holyoke, graduated from Springfield College and earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Tufts University. He was a lifelong resident of Holyoke and ran his dental office on High Street for over 40 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Holyoke Canoe Club. He also served as a deacon and member of the Second Congregational Church. His wife Diane (Carleton) Tait died in 2010 and is survived by his two sons Drew and his wife Darnell of North Salt Lake, UT and Greg and his wife Sue of Midlothian, VA and four grandchildren Kimberly, Joshua, Laura and Emily. A graveside service will be held in Forestdale Cemetery in the future. There are no calling hours and the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
