Burl Coffey
1933 – 2011

Vineland, NJ – Burl Coffey, 78, left us on Thursday July 21, 2011 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Canton OK, raised his family in Springfield MA before retiring to Vineland NJ. Burl served his country for 4 years in the US Air Force and then worked for 29 years for the US Postal Service before retiring from the Springfield Bulk Mail Center in 1989. He leaves behind his brother and sister, Elza Coffey and LaVonta Miller both of OK. He also leaves a daughter, Cindy Danner and her husband Jeff of Millville N.J.; three sons Craig Coffey and his wife Bonnie of Wilbraham MA, Vincent Coffey and his longtime companion Sherry Bouffard of Springfield MA and Vance Coffey of Springfield MA. Burl also leaves several grandsons and a granddaughter; Shane Coffey and his wife Angela of West Springfield MA, Mark Coffey and his wife Kayla of Palmer MA, Justin Coffey of Wilbraham MA, Steven Danner of Vineland NJ, Bryan Danner of Millville NJ and Kristen Coffey of Wilbraham MA. And two great grandchildren Hailey and Koby Coffey. Burl will be forever in our hearts and will be missed by all that knew him. He joins his beloved wife, Joan (Ristaino) Coffey, his parents James and Ethel Coffey, and 14 brothers and sisters. A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield Tuesday July 26, 2011 at 1:00pm.
