Obituary

AGAWAM, MA-Camile "Ivan" Plourde, 63, formerly of Enfield, CT entered into eternal rest on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at his residence the Holyoke Soldier's Home in Holyoke, MA. He was born September 19, 1950 in Fort Fairfield, Maine. As a child, his family moved to East Windsor where he learned to tend the potato fields and went on to graduate from East Windsor High School in 1969. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1970 and served as a member of the 237 th Engineer Battalion. He went on to become a machinist and construction/drywaller by trade. He was an avid Red Sox fan. He loved bowling, golfing, fishing and billiards. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post #80 and GREYS Athletic Club. He is predeceased by his parents Emery and Georgette Plourde and his brother David Plourde. He is survived by his wife of 27 years/lifelong friend and companion Diane Plourde of Enfield, CT. He also leaves behind his three daughters and their families; Tracy and her husband Jess; three children Emily, Katelyn and Ryan Rank of Greenville, WI; Kelly and her husband Ismael; six children Gabriele, Ismael Jr., Nathaniel, Ethan, Brianna and Taylor Torres of Enfield, CT; Amy and her husband Michael; two children Cameron and Bryce DePratti of Agawam, MA; his two brothers and spouses; Steve and Elaine Plourde of Enfield, CT; Glen and Chris Quatrone of Feeding Hills, MA; sister-in-law Theresa Plourde, niece Lindsey and nephew Emery Plourde of Vernon and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members from CT, MA, NY, ME and Canada. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and loved ones. The family asks please no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Soldier's Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040. The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 am in Sacred Heart Church, 1059 Springfield St., Feeding Hills, MA. The committal service will be Monday at 9 am at the Mass Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam, MA. Curran-Jones Funeral Home is in charge of services.
