Carmen (Colon) Carreras, 90, died Saturday at home. She was born in Manati, Puerto Rico and moved to Springfield in 1961, where she has lived ever since. She worked as a housekeeper at Edgewater Towers for many years. She leaves her son Victor Carreras Sr of Springfield, her daughter Lydia McBride and husband Hugh of Feeding Hills, two grandchildren Bryan McBride and his wife Jessica and Victor Carreras Jr and his wife Carmen. She also leaves five great grandchildren Victor III, Michael, Andrew, Annalyse and Ciara. All services are private.
