WEST SPRINGFIELD – Carol M. (Jones) Hunt, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning October 23rd after a long illness. She was born in Pittsfield, MA on June 19, 1922 to Ralph and Laura Jones. She married in 1945 and is survived by her husband, John R. Hunt. She also leaves her daughter, Dr. Leslie Jane Hunt; son, John R. Hunt Jr., and son, Andrew M. Hunt and his wife Carol. Her sister, Eleanor Craig and brother, Roderic Jones, predeceased her. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, aunt and active member of the Community. She was a dear friend to many and fun to be around. No matter what time of day or night, Carol was always ready to take care of anyone's needs. Many who never knew her will remember her charity. She loved all animals, and especially her Brittanys. She was a music lover and patron of the arts, singing and dancing her way through life. She was an avid bridge player and was a member of Ramapogue Women's Club for many years. She was active member of the Mittineague Congregational Church where she volunteered her time and sang in the choir. She will always be remembered for her gentle kindness and loving spirit. A private funeral will be held with burial in the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. The West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home is handling all arrangements.
