West Springfield - Carol A. (Topoosian) Newman, age 82, formerly of Woodmont Street died peacefully on March 14 ^th , 2023, in Centennial, CO.  Carol was born in Springfield, the daughter of Harry and Rose Topoosian and lived in West Springfield most of her life before moving to Colorado to be near her son.  Carol graduated from Commerce High School and worked at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance.  Later in life, she worked as a realtor, both as an agent and in a management capacity.  After retiring, she performed volunteer work with The Parish Cupboard in West Springfield.  She was a longtime member of the Mittineague Congregational Church.  Her husband Stanley Newman died in 2013 and her daughter Heather Daniele died in 2019.  She leaves a son Eric Newman and daughter-in-law Shanna Newman; a sister, Gloria Menard; and seven grandchildren, Brenden, Ryan, Evan, Samantha, Alaina, Colin, and Connor; and one great-grandchild, Ezequiel.  Visiting hours will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Tuesday April 4 ^th beginning at 10:00am with a funeral home service starting at 11:00am, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  For online condolences please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made the American Lung Association
