Carol J. Sorensen

Ludlow - Carol J. (Morganstern) Sorensen, 60, died Sunday peacefully at home. Carol was born in Springfield, graduated from Cathedral High School and has lived in Ludlow for the past 30 years. After Cathedral, she graduated from Nursing School and worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room at Baystate Medical Center for 40 years. Carol loved visiting Cape Cod, cooking for those close to her, and going out to dinner with her friends and family. She leaves her two sons Kyle and Brian, both of Ludlow, her mother Jean Morganstern of Springfield, two brothers Jack Morganstern and wife Lynanne of Monson and Jim Morganstern and wife Lisa of Ft. Myers, FL and her beloved cat Weezy. She was predeceased by her father Ellsworth Morganstern and sister Trisha Haggerty-Waterman. The funeral will be at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 9am with Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Springfield at 10 am followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
