Carol G. Woodruff

AGAWAM-Carol (Ganner) Woodruff, 70 died Friday surrounded by her family. She was born in Springfield and graduated from Longmeadow High School in 1958. She attended Springfield Hospital School of Nursing. Carol worked for Hamilton Standard, SIS Bank, National Metal Industries, Farm Credit Bank and most recently for the Suffield Public Schools. She was Miss Enfield "Congeniality" in 1957 and was a member and past president of the Hampden County Mother of Twins Club. She also belonged to Helma Court 64 Daughters of the Nile, Teamsters Union and the Tobacco Valley Teachers Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, dining out and socializing with family and friends and playing piano with her glass of wine. She leaves her husband Robert C. Woodruff, her son John S. Woodruff of Feeding Hills, her daughter Lori Woodruff Johnson and her husband Jeffrey C. of Wallingford, CT, two grandchildren Chelsey L. Johnson and Derek A. Johnson and her cousin Dianne Bavieri of Ludlow. She was predeceased by her brother Ronald G. Ganner and her sister Maureen E. Wood. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9am from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by services in St. David's Episcopal Church in Agawam at 10 am. Burial in Springfield Street Cemetery.
