Carole A. (Bessette) Rushby, 88, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 28, 2024.  Born in Springfield, daughter of the late Evariste and Alice (Wircinger) Bessette, she grew up in West Springfield and was a 1954 graduate of West Springfield High School. She moved to Agawam in 1956.  Carole was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.  She loved going out to eat, going to the theater and most especially spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.  Her husband, Robert Rushby died in 1995.  She leaves a son and his wife, Rene and Leah Rushby of Springfield, two daughters, Robin L. Rushby of West Springfield, Renee D. and her husband Erik Czupta of Agawam, and three grandchildren, Jeffrey Rushby, Matthew Rushby and Emily Czupta.  Calling hours are Saturday from 8:30-10am at the AGAWAM CURRAN JONES FUNERAL HOME, 745 Cooper Street followed by a Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10:30.
